Onzekerheid en ongemak kropen van haar maag naar haar keel. Ze slikte enige malen om het vervelende gevoel kwijt te raken, maar het hielp niet erg. Zelfs als kind had ze soortgelijke gevoelens gehad als ze voor de klas iets moest vertellen en omdat ze bang was dat ze haar zouden uitlachen gedroeg ze zich altijd stoerder dan ze was. Ze dacht toen echt dat het kwam omdat ze een meisje was.
