Koolstofdioxide of CO2 is een kleurloos en geurloos gas dat van nature in de lucht aanwezig is. Elk levend wezen produceert CO2 bij de ademhaling. De CO2-uitstoot van gemotoriseerd verkeer kan je beperken door:
• meer verplaatsingen te voet of met de fiets doen ipv de auto te nemen
• te kiezen voor een auto die minder of zelfs geen CO2 uitstoot
