Uitstekende CD met een fantastische geluidskwaliteit. Niet alleen zijn de stukken goed gekozen (tussen beide wereldoorlogen gecomponeerd), maar hun onderlinge samenhang is ook groot. Het is opvallend dat alle componisten zwaar schatplichtig zijn aan Stravinsky, vooral van de Vuurvogel en the Rite of Spring. Opvallend aan al deze stukken is het gefragmenteerde gebruik van verschillende ritmes en het gebruik van soloinstrumenten om de sfeer te creeeren van een turbulente tijd.
